Construction Tips

  • Site clearing and leveling:- Site should be leveled against higher than 1\2 feet the nearest higher plot.
  • Excavated soil should be dumped inside the room.
  • Foundation p c c 40 mm aggregate to be used.
  • Provision for bathroom and kitchen – plumping line portion to be provided in the foundation.
  • When shuttering work is done for slab gap should be properly done without loosing grout.
  • After concreting confirm that no disturbance has occurred in the concreted portion.
  • If Concreting is done in hot climatic condition ensure water sprinkling from time to time.
  • At the time of masonry work all rooms one layer brick layout must be done.
  • Every day when brick masonry work is done bricks upon mortar must be avoided.
  • Partially damaged cement can be reused for steps ,car porch ,ramp etc.
  • All bricks must be soaked into water before use so that water for brick at the time of work can be saved.
  • Plastering thickness if more than existing requirement when found earlier balance cement mortar can be used.
  • Piling chips can be used for pcc soling bottom at loose soil portions.
  • If sump tank or water tank constructed earlier brick, cube, cover blocks etc can be used for curing purpose.
  • At the time of main slab casting, if provision is made for lintel pcc etc, balance concrete can be used for this purpose.
  • If painting of inside MS pipe, one side of MS pipe be lifted and other side be kept in a pot so that paints be applied through one side and paints flow evenly and life of MS pipe can be increased.
  • All nuts and bolts etc if kept in oil, life of the same will increase and will not stain.
  • For concreting curing in slopped area ,wet gunny bags or hay be kept.
  • Before flooring works check all room levels and confirm that all the room levels are equal.
  • Tile cut pieces if any, be used at the bottom of cot’s\wardrobe\sofa etc in the bedroom.
  • If materials are to be uplifted at the other end of the rope, materials from upper floors to down floors be arranged simultaneously.
  • When casting of slabs in the reinforcement of all columns if slab thickness is marked in all columns, slab level cast can be done.
  • The wet sand if spreaded , on the next day the same can be sieved easily.
  • Corrosion can be minimized if any supporting material is kept on the ground.
